Coordination Meeting between Karbala Governor and Takatuf Project team

PDC MENA Region Director Mr. Ahmed Gutan, SOC Project manager Mr. Basil Sadiq and SOC National Coordinator Mr. Asaad Hameed have met with Karbala’s Governor in the presence of the Second Deputy Governor of Karbala, Head of the Committee of Migration and Displacement in Karbala and heads of governmental departments in Karbala. A brief description about the 2 year project has been presented to the attendees by Takatuf team, pointing the importance each activity in the work plan, mainly improving the capacity of civil society organizations and the government in managing conflicts within host communities.

During the meeting, the participants have agreed to schedule Takatuf team visits to each government department so as to discuss  the challenges that occur in host communities and to build more coexistence between them and the IDPs.
